about

As a jazz composer, there are few ensembles more satisfying to write for than a septet; there are so many different textures to play with and so many ways to approach melody and harmony, and over the last year I've had a huge amount of fun writing music for a septet consisting of some of the most superbly talented young musicians on the scene in London.

This set of recordings is the culmination of our first year as a gigging jazz band, and here we're presenting a selection of our favourite tunes, 7 of my compositions and 3 jazz standards I've arranged, which we're extremely excited to be finally sharing online, so we hope you enjoy them!

Thanks,

Tom
